Port of Hvide Sande with a record in goods over the quay in 2022

There has been activity in the shipping traffic with cargo over the quays in Hvide Sande Harbor during 2022. With an increase of 35% in volumes compared to 2021, and 22% above the average for the last 5 years, Hvide Sande Harbor consolidates itself as an important Traffic Harbor for goods and bulk for all of Mid and West Jutland.

For the harbor, Cargo, Bulk, and Transportation is a focal point in Strategy 2025, where the overall goal is to increase revenue and to operate an economically efficient and socially responsible business that facilitates investment in the harbor's infrastructure. Therefore, it is pleasing that the business area is progressing and helping to spread the harbor's activities across multiple areas. In recent years, investments have been made in improved conditions for transport customers, including cargo quay, bulk hall, larger ISPS areas, as well as access conditions.

It is particularly the types of cargo such as animal feed, gravel, and dried sand that have contributed to the growth from 2021 to 2022, where all other types of cargo have remained stable compared to previous years.

In cooperation with the local operators at the harbor and cargo customers, the harbor looks forward to good opportunities for further growth in cargo volumes and use of harbor areas for cargo transport. This can and should continuously help to improve the conditions for cargo transportation at the harbor.

The harbor's final economic result has not yet been finalized, but it is expected that the increased cargo turnover will also positively impact the harbor's operating result.
