Port of Hvide Sande offers holistic solutions and a range of benefits in connection with operations and service.
Hvide Sande Harbor is and has been a center for several activities within Offshore Wind.
Vattenfall operates a large, newly built O&M center for the Vesterhav South/North parks.
Here, the harbor also served as a commissioning base for Vesterhav South for Siemens/Gamesa during the summer of 2023.
Previously, the harbor was used as a commissioning base for the construction of the Horns Rev 3 park, as well as a base harbor for survey vessels, supply ships, etc., in connection with the offshore wind farms.
The West Harbor is specially built for the offshore wind industry. This means strengthened quays, dredging to a depth of seven meters, and 20,000 m2 ISPS-secured storage area.
Furthermore, the harbor has areas of up to 200,000 m2 at the West and North Harbors, with dedicated quayside areas for O&M activities.
Hvide Sande is the nearest harbor to Horns Rev 2, Horns Rev 3, and Vesterhav South.
Additionally, Hvide Sande is clearly the nearest harbor to the upcoming wind farms in the North Sea1 (North Sea Mid and North Sea South), which are expected to be auctioned in the fall of 2025.

Hvide Sande Harbour leads the way in the local area's sustainable development by ensuring coexistence between harbour and city. We want to contribute to openness and good communication with all customers and partners.
By investing in the green transition, while the harbour runs an economically efficient and socially responsible business that enables investment in the harbour's infrastructure and areas as well as in the development of existing and new business areas.
